advance1Yes – It’s a pair of advance copies of Life of Pies sent by air freight!

As the picture below testifies! (pie supplied for measurement purposes)

I’m still waiting for a definitive date for the launch. The pallets have been shipped I just don’t know exactly when they will land at my door.

Current estimate is some point between October 16th – 24th, so just over a month to go!

I will be holding a launch in Wigan on the evening of Friday 17th or Friday 24th October dependent on the above.

In the meantime, one thing I can say for certain is that, as you can see – it’s nearly as big as a pie!!

I am impressed with the size and quality of it, even though it shouldn’t be a surprise after I toiled over it for nearly 3 years, and I can’t wait to get it out there.

advances1On this subject, if anyone knows of any good independent bookshops, or anywhere which sells books (I’m currently doing a North West garden centre tour at weekends) please let me know and I’ll get in touch with them about stocking it. It’s a much easier sell now I’ve got a physical copy of the book in my possession

In the meantime, thanks for your patience (as you can probably tell, I have none whatsoever!)

If you want to get yourselves added to the advance mailing list, then there’s still time to order a copy hot off the press by buying a copy from the Pie Shop for just £9.99 plus postage and packaging.

This is the only and one first print run. I’ve started to open dialogue with agents and publishers now so “Life of Pies” may re-emerge at some point in the future. Or it might not. But there’s only one way to guarantee a first edition copy…..

In the meantime, please check back on a daily basis as I’ve written the next series of mini-blogs to give you a taster of what’s in the book in 100 days of pie.
